COVID-19 update

Dear Partners,

COVID-19 has affected us all as it has spread, peaked and thankfully in some parts of the world, subsided. At BVI, our priority is to ensure the health and safety of our customers, and patients in this difficult time. The inherent uncertainty of COVID-19 has posed significant challenges in the safety of our operations as well as planning for the future.

We have been looking to do our part by repurposing our products and redirecting supplies in response to the COVID-19crisis. This includes significant donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to healthcare facilities in some of the hardest hit areas.

Our operations and personnel? have not been spared from impact of COVID-19, and our facilities have experienced temporary operational inefficiencies. With the deferral of ophthalmic surgeries across the globe, these temporary disruptions are not expected to impact our ability to service our customers. BVI has continued to build inventory in anticipation of deferred surgeries, which are beginning to resume.

As your facilities re-open and patients return, your needs may have changed. Please know that we at BVI are here to work with you.

Here is what you can expect from us at BVI:
• Customer Service and Orders – We remain fully operational, with all necessary health precautions in place so that our customer service teams may continue to fulfill orders and answer questions.
• Fulfillment and Shipping – Our warehouses continue to ship orders in accordance with current government and geographic restrictions. It is possible however that our customers may experience some carrier-related delays in shipping.
• Sales Representatives – Our sales teams have appropriately reduced their in-person customer interactions, but we will continue to provide great customer service.
• Product Supply – We have built significant inventory across our portfolio and our supply chain remains intact. We do not anticipate any significant impact in our ability to ship products; based on current inventories and anticipated demand. With the significantly increased global demand for PPE, situations may arise in which we may have to substitute products in our procedure packs. Our team will discuss with you before doing so.
We at BVI value your partnership and business. We will ensure that we’re able to proactively manage our supply chain and provide service to you. Should any issue arise, we will update you accordingly.
